South Park: Why Episodes "200" and "201" Were Banned
There are two banned South Park episodes: «200» and «201.» The comedy is well known for its crude and controversial material and while there are some South Park episodes that have aged badly, «200» and «201» caused such an uproar that they were pulled from circulation on Comedy Central, South Park Studios website, and any streaming platform that airs the show. There are five South Park episodes banned in total, but season 14 episodes «200» and «201» are especially infamous because they sparked an enormous outcry from Middle-Eastern terrorism groups over the depiction of the Prophet Muhammad.
Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park became known for its crude animation and subject matter, before pivoting to more political, current-events-based satire. Still, despite its offensive material, the show has earned itself an array of awards and accolades, such as Primetime Emmy Awards, and its success has not waivered, remaining one of Comedy Central's most-watched shows.

Censorship was at the heart of the South Park season 14episodes «200» and «201.» The story celebrates the landmark of the show's 200th episode by referencing several past storylines — including the season 10 episode «Cartoon Wars,» which was inspired by the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy. The two-parter saw Cartman try to convince Fox to pull Family Guy — a show he hated — by appealing to the network's fear about an upcoming depiction of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
