Holding off from sharing any specifics, Jim Ryan has confirmed that PlayStation fans can expect more big news akin to the Bungie acquisition in the future.
According to Head of Gamesindustry.biz Christopher Dring, the President and CEO of PlayStation has hinted that there will be more acquisitions in time as deals are solidified. Dring specifically stated that Jim Ryan told him «we should expect more» acquisitions from Sony, but he didn't give a specific timeline or what studios that may include. Sony made waves back in September 2021 when it acquired Bluepoint Games, and it has stirred up more interest with Bungie which may suggest that future Sony acquisitions will be big development studios.
