You know when you're losing on FIFA or getting beaten by the same boss over and over, you lean forward in an attempt to better your video game prowess? Well, PlayStation doesn't want you to, and for good reason. A patent filed by the console creator's parent company Sony has outlined plans to intervene in your gaming sessions, reminding you to take a break and check your posture.
Discovered by OpAttack (thanks, Push Square), the patent appears to have been filed a few years ago. The patent states the reminders to gamers would appear on the screen in the form of notifications, allowing them to pause the game without exiting. If it is an idea that is ever rolled out on PS5 and PS4, it will presumably be one that can be toggled on and off. While the premise has been thought up to benefit of those using its consoles, knowing you'll be told to stop playing every hour or so would be a huge turn-off for a lot of PlayStation's current and potential
