Sony has released a trailer for their horror movie The Invitation which will be released in the summer of 2022. Vampires are a popular subject for the genre, whether campy like Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992), more serious like Interview with the Vampire (1994), or funny like Dark Shadows (2012).
Fans of the genre will want to check out the trailer for The Invitation, which promises a fun, dark, and entertaining story about a woman going to a family wedding and finding much more than she expected.

In the upcoming horror film The Invitation, Evie (Nathalie Emmanuel) is mourning the loss of her mother and after taking a DNA test, she finds out that she has a cousin who she wasn't aware of. When Evie is asked to join her cousin at a wedding in England, she agrees, but the family has some secrets that she will soon learn about.
As Evie says in the trailer, «It was always just my mom and me. To have a family, that's what I really want.» When Evie has dinner with her cousin Oliver (Hugh Skinner), she shares that her mom was always interested in bringing her to England so she could feel connected to her roots. Later on, once Evie has realized that she's in a terrifying situation, she says, «I want to go home.»
Written by Blair Butler and directed by Jessica M. Thompson, The Invitation is produced by Emile Gladstone with Executive Producers Jessica M. Thompson and Michael P. Flannigan. The cast includes Courtney Taylor, Alana Boden, Thomas Doherty, Stephanie Corneliussen, and Sean Pertwe.
