Sonic Harasses Minimum Wage Workers In New Movie Ad
There are many things you should not subject your McDonald's server to. Jokes about the ice cream machine, forcing them to star in your TikTok, pranks... the list goes on. Just take your food and go, you animals. Unfortunately, Sonic didn't quite get the memo in the latest bit of promotional material for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, as he behaves pretty inconsiderately towards his drive-thru server, Tails.
In an Indonesian McDonald's ad, we see Sonic ruin Tails' day by dashing through the drive-thru (fun fact, you will not be served there on foot), and nicks his Happy Meal without even paying. To make matters worse, Tails is eight years old, suggesting that the Sonic world really needs tighter labour laws.

After we see Sonic's fast food shenanigans, we get a peek at the toys Indonesian McDonald's goers will be treated to in their Happy Meals. They're about what you'd expect from a video game McDonald's tie-in, to be fair. But they at least don't look as bootleg as previous attempts.
Everyone has fallen in love with McDonald's worker Tails. Fanart is flooding the Sonic side of Twitter, as many find camaraderie in the nonsense he'd have to put up with working at the restaurant chain. One fan has even voice acted his explanation as to why the ice cream machine is always broken, so you'll never have to ask again.
This isn't the only profession Tails has taken on in the run-up to the new film. As we reported yesterday, he's set to make his V-Tuber debut next week, answering questions from fans.
