A player of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has encountered a bizarre glitch involving a blacksmith standing in their own heated forge. In the game, the blacksmith is named Balimund who is based in the town of Riften. It is just one of many bugs that can be found throughout The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
When Skyrim was originally released in 2011, it blew gamers away. The game was so successful, in fact, that Bethesda would re-release Skyrim several more times before itsAnniversary Edition was released in November 2021. Unfortunately, the game came with a boatload of bugs that were never fully patched out despite its numerous releases.

Even the Skryim Anniversary Edition contained several game-breaking bugs at launch that hampered the experience. But more often than not, the glitches in question are harmless, resulting in odd NPC quirks. In a recent post, Reddit user -bobsnotmyuncle- revealed a glitch where Balimund just stood in his own forge, not at all reacting to the heat of it. The captain and various comments on the post make jokes about his dialog throughout the game.
Throughout the majority of Skyrim's major towns and cities, a blacksmith can be found. At these locations, players can create their own weapons and armor or buy and sell them from the local smith. Skyrim players have been known to fill forges with skulls though the forges themselves rarely do they contribute to the game's main story. Balimund, however, has a unique quirk that can affect the game in an unexpected way. If the player kills him, his successor, Asbjorn Fire-Tamer will send thugs out to kill the player when they are around Riften.
