Ubisoft has finally announced a release date for its regularly delayed pirate game Skull & Bones.
A new cinematic trailer for the game confirms that it will be released on November 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Stadia and Luna.
The game will be available in two separate editions: the Standard Edition and a Premium Edition.
According to Ubisoft, the Premium Edition will inclue the ‘Ballad of Bloody Bones Collection’, two missions, a digital soundtrack and more.
Players who pre-order the game will also gain access to the Highness of the High Sea Pack, which includes Notoriety Garb and a Coronation Firework.
A series of live tests will take place before the game is released, and Ubisoft is advising anyone who wants to take part to register on the game’s official website.
“Enter the perilous paradise of Skull and Bones, inspired by the Indian Ocean during the Golden Age of Piracy, as you overcome the odds and rise from an outcast to an infamous pirate,” Ubisoft’s accompanying blurb reads.
“Craft a variety of unique ships to survive, thrive, and rule in an immersive world that introduces new challenges and features every season.”
The cinematic trailer was also accompanied by a 7-minute gameplay overview trailer, which can be viewed below.

Skull & Bones was originally scheduled for release in 2018 but has been delayed on a handful of occasions. The project was then rebooted in 2020.
