The Sims is partnering up with Logitech to expand its current dynamic lighting option, allowing supported peripherals to light up in the color of the player's Sims mood. Logitech's peripheral lineup includes keyboards, mouses, speakers, and headphones. For many gamers with intricate lighting set-ups, this is a welcomed feature, as it allows improved immersion into the game.
The feature was first launched by EA in January 2021 when they partnered with Razer. Sims players could experience rotating plumbob (the green crystal above your Sim's head) effects on their keyboard and mouse during the loading screen, which would light up differently throughout the game depending on how their Sim was feeling. If the Sim is angry, players' peripherals would turn red, green if they were happy- and so on. If players want to access this feature, they must go to 'Other' in 'Game Settings' and select 'Enable Keyboard Dynamic Lighting.'

The news of the upcoming Logitech collaboration was first confirmed onThe Sims' Twitter, accompanied by an image of a player in front of a lit-up PC. Logitech followed suit, confirming that reactive lighting on Logitech products was coming to The Sims. In a statement on the company's website, Logitech said that the feature would use the company's Lightsync technology, which is programmable RBG (red, blue and green) lighting. These 3 colors alone can produce over 16 million hues of light. This means there's a color for any mood a Sim might be feeling.
