The stylish brawler, just launched on February 8, features a robust combat system and a unique mechanic that ages the player character each time they fall in battle. Developed by Sloclap, Sifu strives to mirror blockbuster martial arts films with its intense combat system and revenge-fueled storyline. The game sees its main character embark on a brutal quest for revenge against five martial arts masters after they assault his dojo and murder his sensei. Sifu includes more than 150 different attacks that players can learn during this journey, each with its own strengths and combo strings. The player character can also rise again upon death, aging several years which increases his power but decreases his health. The game's combat encounters are unrelenting, and Sifu lacks difficulty options at launch, so many players have struggled to complete the kung fu quest.

However, Push Square reports that one gamer has managed to very quickly dominate Sifu and its hordes of thugs. YouTuber Dan Allen Gaming recently completed a 40-minute speedrun of the game without suffering a single death, meaning the player character remained at his base age of 20. The lightning-fast run of Sifu makes use of some shortcuts to reduce playtime, and a mastery of the combat system allows Dan Allen to effortlessly wipe the streets with his enemies.
