An Apple Watch now used for stalking! After a viral outbreak cases involving the Apple AirTag used for stalking innocent victims, an Apple Watch has now been found to be involved in such a case. The victim, the girlfriend of the stalker, had found an Apple Watch on her tracking her location details, which was then used to threaten her life.
The stalker, whose name is Lawrence Welch, had reportedly threatened to kill her girlfriend multiple times. The couple had originally used the Life360 app to monitor each other’s location prior to this. Later, the victim deactivated the Life360 app tracking after she faced abuses from her boyfriend. Welch then turned to the Apple Watch for help.
Welch had reportedly the stuck the Apple Watch, which belonged to him, in the wheel spoke of her girlfriend’s car. The Watch was tracked after the police found Welch approaching the location and crouching by the car’s wheel instead of the building. He later acknowledged that the Watch belonged to him.
