Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation Coming to US
The previously Nintendo Switch exclusive is getting a global release, with the game set to release overseas sometime in August 2022 for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
The game, which was originally released in Japan in July 2021, was developed by Neos Corporation, and follows Shinnosuke Nohara — better known as Shin-chan — as he enjoys his summer vacation in the countryside. The game acts as a bit of a mix between and, as players fish, hunt bugs, take photos, exercise, and do other activities as they explore the area.
It is based on the hit manga series, which first debuted in 1990, with the character of Shin-chan becoming one of the most recognizable characters in the world since then. Prior to this game, another Switch title — — was released in 2020.
While a Switch exclusive in Japan, will get a PlayStation 4 digital release alongside the Nintendo Switch release in the West. No physical versions of the game will be releasing, though, so fans looking to pick up the game will have to keep an eye out on the PlayStation and Nintendo digital storefronts in a couple of months.
