It appears Cameron Diaz is coming out of retirement. Better yet, it appears that she'll be reuniting with the co-star of her last film before entering retirement, Annie. It's been confirmed that Diaz will be joining Jamie Foxx in his next movie Back in Action, which will be her first film in almost a decade.
Foxx tweeted out that Diaz had agreed to be a part of the movie while posting a recorded call between them and NFL legend Tom Brady, who had also recently retired, then un-retired, from his playing days as a quarterback. Foxx used Brady and his knowledge of un-retiring to persuade Diaz to do the same for her show business career.

Foxx wrote, «Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT. @CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION — our new movie with @NetflixFilm. Production starting later this year!!» This will be the third time Foxx and Diaz have worked together on a movie, as they appeared together both in Annie in 2014 and Any Given Sunday in 1999. Foxx and the studio may also be going for irony here by bringing in Diaz because of her prior retirement and the film's title being Back in Action.
Horrible Bosses filmmaker Seth Gordon has been set to direct the film. Gordon also co-wrote the script with Brendan O'Brien, who wrote the script for Neighbors. Beau Bauman of Central Intelligence is slated to produce the film while Foxx will also be among the executive producers. There's no telling if Diaz will be a lead in the film or if she will have a small cameo in it. Nonetheless, she's now confirmed to be in the film no matter what role she has in it. Diaz has
