The Sam Raimi-produced action thriller Boy Kills World fills out with several new cast members. The project was announced in October 2021, an original idea from German director Moritz Mohr, who will adapt the screenplay from Arend Remmers (Sløborn) and Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie). Boy Kills World centers around the previously announced Boy (Bill Skarsgård, who joins other John Wick alums in the film), a Deaf-mute man in a dystopian landscape who seeks vengeance for his murdered family by accepting the aid of a mysterious stranger (Yayan Ruhian).
Deadline reports that a host of new actors will join Skarsgård, Ruhian, Samara Weaving, and others in the film. Famke Janssen (How to Get Away with Murder), Sharlto Copley (Ted K), and Brett Gelman (Stranger Things) will play Hilda, Glen, and Gideon Van Der Koy, respectively, the antagonists opposing Boy. Quinn Copeland (Punky Brewster) will play Mina, and twins Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti (Big Little Lies) portray a young Boy. Boy Kills World is one of several films that Russian Doll star Copley is currently filming.
