Screen Rant has an exclusive trailer and poster reveal for the upcoming aquatic horror film, Shark Bait, which will be released in theaters and on demand May 13. The British sharksploitation production was directed by James Nunn, who previously directed One Shot with Ryan Phillippe, and written by Nick Saltrese, who has penned several episodes of beloved soaps Hollyoaks and EastEnders.
Shark Bait follows a group of spring breakers who are enjoying the trip of a lifetime on the sandy beaches of Mexico. With nothing to lose or fear, the friends steal a couple of jet skis and engage in a bit of a race after a night of partying. But their unearned bravado and bad decisions lead to a terrifying accident before the sun rises, leaving them stranded miles from shore. That is when the true horror begins, as the party-goers realize they've landed themselves in shark-infested waters. To make matters worse, one friend is badly bleeding, and the group must quickly figure out how to survive with all odds against them and a vicious predator lurking in the waters below.
