Sega has revealed the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Mini 2, a follow-up to their previous miniature console that was released in 2019.
Set to release in Japan on October 27 for 9,980 yen (roughly $76 USD), the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Mini 2 will support 720p and 480p output resolutions. You can see the design of the console below.
Though the Mini 2 is smaller than its predecessor, it will contain over 50 Genesis and Sega CD games, with only 11 having been revealed so far. You can find a list of the confirmed titles below.
Also releasing alongside the Mini 2 are a Sega CD decoration kit and extra Fighting Pad 6B controllers, which will be 4,500 yen (around $35 USD) and 2,500 yen (roughly $19 USD) each respectively. The decoration kit comes with a fake mini-disc and cartridge to mount in the console. The Mini 2 has yet to receive confirmation of a Western release.
