With the conflict in Ukraine escalating by the hour, the gaming community is being heavily affected. Twitch streamers areleaving their streams to flee, and development companies have employees looking for refuge to continue their work. Arma 3 DLC developer Savage Game Designs has helped one of their developers escape Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
On February 24th 2022, Russia officially invaded Ukraine, and citizens have been fleeing for their own safety as bombs go off throughout the country. Savage Game Designs, developers of Bohemia Interactive's Arma 3 DLC Prairie Fire have employees working in over 30 countries, Ukraine is one of them.

Hornet_221 posted on the Arma subreddit about the extraction of one of Savage Game Designs' developers from Ukraine. The post quotes a message from SGD, grateful for fan support during this time and updating them on the situation. They explain that the developer and his girlfriend have fled their home just outside of Kyiv and were trying to reach the border of Slovakia to be picked up by other members of the company where they can seek asylum in Germany along with other members of the development team. The post goes on to explain that the developer has left everything at his old home and asked for support in a fundraiser to help him get back on his feet and back to work on the DLC.
Arma footage has even been used to pose as a real-life conflict and had an indirect hand in promoting propaganda, but Bohemia has of course stated that it doesn't support the use of the footage in that way. Savage Game Designs has been working on Arma DLC Prairie Fire and this conflict has changed things. It's great to see a great developer
