Samsung launched the 4th generation of its flagship foldable phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 today, August 10. It was released in the second Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event of the year along with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Buds 2 Pro and Galaxy Z Watch 5. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 offers a similar design to its predecessor but comes with improvements across all aspects. The foldable phone has been priced starting $1,799. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 features a foldable 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED primary display with a refresh rate of 120HZ and a 6.2-inch AMOLED secondary display with 120Hz refresh rate. The foldable phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is paired with a single RAM variant of 12GB and three storage variants of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. It also offers IPX8 water resistance.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera. Alongside it has a 10MP outer selfie camera and a 4MP under-display camera.
The foldable is backed with a 4,400 mAh battery which supports up to 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 also supports Samsung S pen and comes with NFC functionality. It runs on Android 12L, a special version of Android created for larger screens.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 prices start from $1,799 and will be available from August 26 in select countries. Pre-orders are open now. The prices for individual models are yet to be revealed. The India prices have not been announced yet but should be announced soon.
