Samsung is almost done with its major smartphone announcements for 2022 and all eyes are on next year's flagship. With Apple going rather conservative with its iPhone 14, Samsung has a bigger chance to shine next year. And thanks to the latest leak, it seems Samsung is going all out to take on iPhone 14 with its Galaxy S23. Leake CAD renders of the Galaxy S23 show what we can expect from Samsung's next year's flagship Android phone. Spoiler alert – it looks awesome.
Based on leaked renders from OnLeaks via Digit and Smartprix, we get a glimpse of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus. Internal specifications are yet to be revealed but we get a look at how these phones look (got the pun?). Both the models are still recognisable as a Samsung phone but the rear looks vastly different from what we are used to see on the Galaxy S22 series.
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus continue to look the same from the front. The Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch display with very thin bezels, while the Galaxy S23 Plus gets a larger 6.6-inch display of the same nature. The dimensions of both models grow marginally, which could hint at bigger battery capacities.
On the back though, things are different. The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus ditch the raised camera island and adopt individual “lens islands”, just like the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This design has been previously seen on certain affordable Samsung Galaxy A series devices, and it now comes to the standard Galaxy S23 models. For a flagship phone, it certainly looks different.
