The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra launch is right around the corner, but how will it compare to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra? It has been more than a year since Samsung launched a Galaxy Note series device in spite of the company hosting two Galaxy Unpacked events in 2021. The first was in January when Samsung revealed the Galaxy S21 series and the second was in August when Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phones.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was launched in 2020 for $1,299. The smartphone came with a stunning display, a myriad of features related to the S Pen, and a sleek design. In the same year, Apple revealed its iPhone 12 lineup with a complete redesign that included flat edges. Since the Note 20 Ultra had a large form factor, it was directly compared with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the largest iPhone in the series.

Apparently, a Reddit user claiming to be a Verizon sales representative has seen the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in person and posted details on the experience. The iSmokeGSCookies Reddit user says that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra looks "exactly" like the Note 20 Ultra, is similar in size, and houses an S Pen. iSmokeGSCookies also mentions that the Galaxy S22 Ultra's cameras don't protrude all that much with the back panel almost flat. The upcoming flagship was also said to feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage with the base model, and 12GB of RAM with the 256GB and 512GB storage models. Lastly, it was mentioned that the S22 Ultra has larger camera sensors than the Note 20 Ultra.
