With the surprise announcement that Ryan Reynolds is bringing Hugh Jackman along for Deadpool 3, some questions came up about Jackman's supposed final outing as Wolverine in 2017's Logan and how it all fits in and connected.
The two actors took to Twitter yesterday to address some of the concerns that comic book fans had since both Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness as well as Spider-Man: No Way Home explained past inconsistencies as simply being part of the multiverse, which was repaired at the end of No Way Home.
«I had a lot of questions. I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but rest assured we're going to answer them right now,» said Jackman in a video posted on Reynolds' Twitter. «First of all, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?»

Reynolds said that Logan actually took place in 2029 and he died in Logan, which is a separate thing and he's «not touching that.» When Reynolds goes on to explain what happens in their new film, «Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go» by WHAM! starts to play, muting him and Jackman as they supposedly act out what will transpire during Deadpool 3.
Typical troll fashion of Reynolds and we shouldn't have expected anything less in the time being. It is noted though that the actor was sporting a darker-toned costume, possibly hinting at some Uncanny X-Force action, which featured both Wolverine and Deadpool on the team, along with Psylocke, Archangel, and Phantomex.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
