Beloved JRPG Rune Factory 5 will finally be making its way to PC later this month, to the delight of many fans. The fifth entry in the iconic Rune Factory series was originally released in Japan in 2021, with a console release for North America and Europe following a year later. The game coming to PC will mark the last major port for Rune Factory 5, with the PC version touting new customization options and visual updates.
Rune Factory 5 features the same mainstay features as its predecessors, combining combat and life simulation elements to make a unique JRPG experience. Players fill the shoes of the game's amnesia-stricken protagonist in the town of Rigbarth, where mysterious events have been occurring. From there, players will explore the area surrounding the town as they fight monsters and unravel the mystery of what's been causing unrest in town. Between these moments of combat, players will also participate in classic life simulation elements like farming, fishing, town festivals, and marriage in Rune Factory 5.
