Rumor: AMD Navi 31 Graphics Card Could Have Bigger Memory Bus Than Previously Thought
It's looking like the next generation of graphics cards may be arriving sooner than expected. With Nvidia possibly launching the RTX 40-series in July, and AMD currently said to be releasing its RDNA 3 range by September, the summer period is going to bring a lot of leaks and rumors about what each of these giants will be unveiling. As the weeks, or even days, go by, there are a number of speculations that continue to surface, and some of these are changing all the time.
As spotted by Videocardz, industry leaker Greymon55 has made mention on Twitter about the upcoming Navi 31 card from AMD. In response to 3DCenter, the leaker has said that the as-yet-unreleased RDNA 3 hardware will contain a 384-bit memory bus, whereas it was previously rumored to feature a 256-bit bus. Others have also responsed in the Twitter thread to say the same thing. However, these are just leaks at the moment, and whether they are correct or not, readers should hold back a little bit until team red makes an official announcement.

There's also no telling whether this information will change later on as new details come to light. The rumored specs for Nvidia's RTX 4090 have already been adjusted based on updated speculations, with it now being possible that it will feature a TDP of 450W, rather than what was previously thought, which was 600W. In short, it can be expected that some of the finer details may change, either through more leaks, theories, or because AMD is still manufacturing its next generation of graphics cards, and hasn't finalized the hardware yet.
