Rodney Mathews, featured on The Bachelorette season 18, shared what he is looking for in a future wife and that he's open to finding love still on a Bachelor Nation spinoff. As fan favorite on Michelle Young's season, Rodney has not only become a reality star within the franchise but is also well-known for previously having a successful football career. While many contestants leave the series with unresolved drama and plenty of scandalous moments on-air, Rodney has supported Michelle and been a prime example of a mature, genuine contestant in Bachelor Nation.
Making it seven weeks into The Bachelorette, Rodney endeared himself to audiences (and Michelle) with his warm presence and light-hearted approach to the series. While Rodney didn't get engaged to Michelle, fans will remember his humorous approach to winning roses, such as dressing up as a red apple to impress Michelle, a teacher, on night one. Although he didn't end up with Michelle, Rodney is hopeful that he'll find the woman of his dreams.

When asked about his goals regarding love and possibly returning to the franchise with Us Weekly, Rodney shared that he is still open to being on Bachelor In Paradise or finding love when he appears on the Bachelor Live On Stage tour, "I’m always open to [love].” He added, “I’m really hoping to find it. I think have a weird feeling, I feel like this is my year. I’m going to speak it into existence, manifest it. We’ll see, maybe it is on tour.”
