Super Bowl LVI is coming to Rocket League with the return of the Gridiron Games. The first edition of the Gridiron Games was held last year and included some of the game’s biggest and best content creators and professional players. The one-day tournament was held as part of Rocket League and the NFL’s crossover event to celebrate Super Bowl LV. The Gridiron Games is played in the crossover event’s aforementioned Gridiron limited-time mode, which changes Rocket League’s standard format in several ways. The unique game mode pits two teams of four players against each other, instead of the usual 3-vs-3 format. Players also won’t need to kick around the ball as it will instead be attached to a player until another car touches and takes it. The limited-time mode expectedly features many elements of American football, giving those familiar with the popular sport an advantage when learning how to play Rocket League’s Gridiron mode.
