A Nightmare on Elm Street actor Robert Englund recalls a time that he terrified someone in public while dressed as Freddy Krueger. Englund played Krueger over the course of 19 years for a total of 8 films, including Freddy vs. Jason, which was his last appearance as the character in a feature film. The film was a dud at the box office, however, which stalled any further sequels, leaving the franchise quiet ever since, with talk of trying another reboot or reinvention coming up from time to time, with actor Elijah Wood expressing interest at one point.
