Dorit Kemsley from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has always kept her family business close to her chest, but viewers would like to know more about her father, Shalom. Back in 2016, the designer joined RHOBH with her husband, PK Kemsley. Dorit was brought into the group of women by Lisa Vanderpump because the restauranteur LVP was close friends with PK, as they both hail from England. During Dorit's freshman year, Bravo fans found it hard to relate to the mother of two, who often put on a fake accent. It didn't help that PK frequently involved himself in the womens' drama. Dorit became the villain when she turned on Lisa, but she gained the trust of viewers. During the last few seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit was lying low, but she's maintained a special place in viewers' hearts.

After Dorit's home invasion terror, she has become a bit more open, especially with regard to what is important to her now. The mother of two has been preaching about family, and sharing time with loved ones. Viewers have become interested in learning more about Dorit's father, Shalom Lemel. It turns out that he comes from Israel and worked as a paratrooper in the Israeli Army. National military service is mandatory for all Israeli citizens over the age of 18. Shalom and his wife Rachel raised Dorit (and her sister and brother) in Woodbridge, CT, where Shalom worked as a technician.
