A Resident Evil fan recently spotted a Raccoon City police car parked at a Best Buy in Arizona; the authentic-looking vehicle even has a minigun tucked away for safe keeping. The Raccoon Police Department has an interesting history in Resident Evil lore in that higher-ups long took bribes from Umbrella to ignore the corporation's shady activities. RPD regularly turning a blind eye to Umbrella's misdeeds more or less played a part in the calamity that befell Raccoon City following the T-Virus' contamination of local drinking water.
Raccoon City's finest rest at the heart of Resident Evil in several other ways, too. Most notably, rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy remains one of the franchise's fan-favorite playable characters. The RPD's Special Tactics and Rescue Service, or S.T.A.R.S., often takes center stage as well, with members such as Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine serving as lead characters in the original Resident Evil installment. Of course, many a fan likes to cosplay as these iconic RPD heroes, but one, in particular, took their RE fandom several steps further.

Over the weekend, Redditor Gorgey posted images of the real-life Resident Evil-inspired Raccoon City police cruiser they stumbled across outside of a Best Buy. In response to other Reddit users who said they've seen a similar car, Gorgey confirmed the police car can be found on the streets in Arizona. The specially designed black and white cruiser dons the S.T.A.R.S. name across the side, with the S.T.A.R.S. and RPD logos situated over the back tires.
