Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next K-series smartphone after almost three years - the Redmi K50i is set to launch on July 20. For some time, the company and several leaks have revealed expected specs and features of the upcoming K50i. The latest information comes directly from Xiaomi. The company has confirmed that the Redmi K50i will be powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. Xiaomi has made a strong claim that the Redmi K50i is faster than Apple’s flagship iPhone 13 and it is touting the AnTuTu score to claim victory.
"Setting a new Speed benchmark for those who #LiveExtreme.#RedmiK50i blazes past competition with an AnTuTu score of 822274,” Redmi India’s Tweet reads. This comes along with a comparison chart which has revealed the AnTuTu benchmark score of the Redmi K50i while comparing it with several other processors, one of which is the Apple’s A15 Bionic with a 4-core chipset, which powers the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. The AnTuTu benchmark score for iPhone 13 is 782653.
Not just iPhone 13, but Xiaomi claimed that Redmi K50i is even faster than the Nothing Phone (1), which will be launched today. Though the company hasn’t mentioned the smartphone name directly, but the comparison chart proves that the K50i surpassed the score of the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset which is set to power the Nothing Phone (1). Besides these, Snapdragon 888 which powers iQOO 9 SE, Asus 8z, OnePlus 9, Realme GT 2, and many other smartphones too havebeen left behind in terms of AnTuTu score. The Snapdragon 870, MediaTek Dimensity 1300 also scored less than the K50i AnTuTu.
