The Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific mid-season Two update saw some changes made to Rebirth Island. These include new places to land, weapon trade stations, and a new Docks Easter egg. The update has given the fan-favorite map a fresh feel. However, if you have played Rebirth Island recently, you may have noticed that vehicles have been disabled.
The golden vaults have now been unlocked thanks to players completing the Rebirth Reinforced challenges. Shortly after the Easter egg went live, it became apparent that it could be exploited. To do the exploit, all you had to do was stand in front of a golden vault door. At the same time, a team mate would have to hop in a car and hit you at full force. This would throw your operator through the locked door and into the golden vault, meaning you could collect all the high level loot without working through the Easter egg steps.
Raven Software shared a tweet informing Rebirth Island fans that vehicles were temporarily disabled on the map. It does not say if this is due to the golden vault exploit or not, just that it’s investigating an issue. Despite this, players seem to believe that the exploit is the culprit.
At the time of writing, it is unknown when vehicles will return to Rebirth Island. Luckily, Rebirth Island is a small map with a lot of engagements. Having no vehicles won’t be as game changing compared to if they were disabled in Caldera.
