As one of the most popular team-based first-person shooters of the last console generation, Rainbow Six Siege has seen plenty of unique and interesting characters added to the game since its release in 2015. The game boasts a roster of over fifty Operators for players to choose from, with each character having their own specialties whether on the attacking or defending side of a game. With the game preparing to enter its seventh year, Ubisoft recently confirmed the newest Operator coming to the game as a part of 'Operation Demon Veil'.
Much like many other ongoing games, Rainbow Six Siege often releases new Operators as part of the festivities surrounding a new competitive season of the popular shooter. Recent seasons have seen the game experimenting with plenty of fresh ideas, such as Thorn's sticky grenade-like Razorbloom Shells and Osa's Talon-8 Clear Shield that she can carry to defend herself or set up to protect her allies. Now, Operation Demon Veil's inclusion of the Operator Azami will bring a new mechanic to Rainbow Six Siege that will be completely new to the game.
Rainbow Six Siege Bans Thousands of Players Every Month
Rainbow Six Siege officially revealed Azami as the featured character of Operation Demon Veil, a Japanese defender set to join the game when the event launches on February 22. While Azami's design (which is inspired by Japanese private bodyguards) prominently features kunai, she does not use them to attack but rather to set up her unique gadget, the 'Kiba Barrier'. Azami's Kiba Barrier is a first for Rainbow Six Siege, as the shield protects not from attacks in front of Azami, but rather creates a shield that can block breaches through floors and ceilings.
