US retailer Target has cut the PlayStation 5 price to $350 for Black Friday.
The deal is only available on the standard PS5 launch model when bought standalone, meaning PS5 Digital Edition, PS5 Slim and console bundles are excluded.
To access the deal, which knocks $150 of the console’s MSRP, customers will need to sign up to Target Circle, the retailer’s free rewards scheme.
The offer is valid in store or online, but it needs to be collected at your chosen branch as delivery isn’t available.
PS5 Slim consoles are also currently being bundled with Modern Warfare 3 or Spider-Man 2 for under $500.
Sony Interactive Entertainment‘s head of global marketing said in a recent interview that this will be the first Christmas shopping season that anyone who wants to buy a PS5 will be able to find one.
“Our outlook on PlayStation 5 is really strong,” Eric Lempel told Barron’s. “We’re expecting one of the strongest seasons in our history in terms of console sales.”
Sony is aiming to ship 25 million PS5 consoles during its current fiscal year ending in March 2024. If achieved, it would beat a 25-year-old console sales record set when the original PlayStation shipped 22.6 million units over a 12-month period.
