PlayStation Plus Extra is set to lose a sports game next month as it leaves the Game Catalog lineup. PS Plus Extra and Premium members have access to hundreds of games as a part of their subscription tier. This list includes a variety of titles including AAA, indie, and mid-budget games from both first-party studios and third-party publishers.
The PS Plus Extra library refreshes every month, with Sony adding a handful of new games on a set date. Starting today, subscribers can play Deathloop, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Assassin's Creed Origins, Watch Dogs 2, Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, and more at no extra cost. PS Plus Premium members also get access to Syphon Filter 2, Toy Story 3, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time among others. However, not all games will be available forever, and it looks like PS Plus Extra will lose a sports game as soon as next month.
New PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for September 2022 File Sizes Revealed
The game in question is PGA Tour 2K21, and members will have until October 7 to play it. As seen by its store page, an option below the price states that users can subscribe to PlayStation Plus Extra to play PGA Tour 2K21 at no extra cost. However, the line right below it confirms that the game will leave PS Plus Extra and Premium on October 7, 2022. So, it looks like gamers have a bit more than two weeks to try out PGA Tour 2K21 on the service.
However, some PS Plus subscribers will still have access to it after it leaves the catalog. As it turns out, PGA Tour 2K21 was given out as a free monthly game to PlayStation Plus customers in October 2021. Back then, PS Plus didn’t have the new three-tiered format, so members who added the game to their library can play it till their subscription expires.
