Cyberpunk 2077's driving mechanics were one of the first things to come under fire when the game launched in 2020. Clumsy and awkward, making our way around Night City was a messy affair, but one that has been improved through the various patches. But if you're still crashing into everything in your path, here's the perfect mod to help you make those sharp turns with ease.
The Immersive Driving mod from Nexus user Jo3yization turns Cyberpunk 2077 into a driving simulator, and allows for much more precision with the controls and player inputs. Cyberpunk's driving mechanics have been split into fast and slow acceleration, and the same for deceleration. The mod also adds a cruise control function, truly allowing you to take to the streets of Night City at your own pace.

Explaining why they created the mod Jo3yization goes over the main issue with driving in the vanilla game. "You're either going at full throttle or coming to an abrupt stop to try and take a turn", the modder writes. "This mod actually gives you back that missing factor. This gives a much better feeling of speed control and hopefully improves your immersion."
While it may be a little more complicated at first, it will allow you to get a lot more precise as you cruise around Night City. In the base game, it's pretty goddamn hard to match the speed limit that other drivers are sticking to, and much easier to just crash into them and hope the cops don't spot you. At least now, you can get to your destination with less property damage to V's name.
