Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's update roadmap has been revealed, confirming that it'll get a selection of new modes and outfits for Sargon alongside a paid story expansion at the end of the year.
The Lost Crown is already one of the best and most content-complete games of 2024 so far, but it looks like it's about to get even bigger and better. Following the game's launch, the developers teased that it'd be getting new content at some point in the year, and we now finally know what that DLC is going to be.
Over on the official Prince of Persia Twitter account, an update roadmap for 2024 was shared, showcasing all of the free and paid content that's going to be coming to The Lost Crown. The most substantial bit of content that was revealed is a currently unnamed "new story DLC" that's set for late 2024 and, unlike the other updates shown on the roadmap, will have to be purchased.
We don't have any details on what's going to be in the story expansion, but it's good news for anyone who was worried about The Lost Crown's slower sales meaning an end to the game or series - clearly there's some interest here. That's not all, though, as the roadmap also shares a bunch of new features that are going to be added to the game completely for free.
The first update, which is currently scheduled for this month, will be adding a speedrun and permadeath mode alongside four new outfits for Sargon. The next update, which is aiming for Spring, introduces a boss rush mode to the game and even more outfits for Sargon, although it's not clear how many from the image.
It looks like some of the new outfits are actually going to let Sargon dress as the Sands of Time Prince, as his haircut has clearly been changed to resemble him.
