Massively popular Twitch streamer Pokimane has become a recent recipient of internet roasting due to a misunderstanding related to yesterday's Wordle challenge. The Moroccan-Canadian creator is one of the most successful and talked-about live-streamers working today, who most recently made headlines for her feud with fellow streamer Ninja.
Since it broke onto the free-to-play gaming scene late last year, Wordle has become a massive sensation among dedicated and casual gamers alike. The game has grown so popular that it has already yielded several copycats and spin-offs. Some newer versions have kept the same basic format, with players guessing different five-letter words that have a unique theme — such as the Lord of the Rings-themed clone Lordle of the Rings or the crass Lewdle whose answers are limited to risky, NSFW words. There have also been some versions that change the gameplay completely, like the Wordle battle royale clone or Quordle, which is Wordle times four. As is typically the case with viral games, Wordle quickly got picked up by streamers who revisit it daily to give it their best shot.

One of these streamers is Pokimane, who drew ridicule from her viewers yesterday after not recognizing the common word "other". In the stream, which was reported on by Dexerto, Pokimane was about to submit "other" as a guess before questioning whether or not it was a real word. After her chat was spammed with laughing emoticons, Pokimane quickly realized her mistake, stating that she was thinking of the word "author" and simply thought that "other" was a misspelling. It turns out that "other" was, in fact, the correct word of the day, making the misunderstanding even more humorous.
