Sneaking around and capturing the wild pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus easily builds up to be one of the best features in the new title. However, when things don't go as planned, this can lead to odd encounters with the wild pokemon where they either don't behave in exactly the way players might expect, or catch them off guard.
In a recent Reddit post by user OskarTinni, it can be seen that Pokemon Legends: Arceus player is caught in exactly that type of situation by a wild Hippowdown out in the field. Beyond the speed that the Hippowdown charges across the map, what happens when it finally comes face to face with the player makes for an awkward moment that is terrifying.

The short clip shows the player wandering around an area that is filled with Hippowdowns, with many of the pokemon minding their own business and keeping pretty much to themselves. That is until one of the Hippowdowns randomly starts charging across the area, appearing to have already started running from behind a large rock and stops right in front of the player. This whole situation ends before reaching another example of Pokemon Legends: Arceus' creatures attacking humans, and has the Hippowdown just stare at the player once up close and personal.
In response to the original post, fans have started gathering in the comments to chime in about how terrifying the charging Hippowdown was, and the way it turned to stare down the player.
