Pokemon Legends: Arceus is already getting new content, in a free update announced at today's Pokemon Presents. Version 1.1.0 brings us the "Daybreak" update, which introduces a new investigation, and more battles to participate in to train our partner Pokemon.
Daybreak and the new software update will be available later today at no extra cost for anyone with Pokemon Legends: Arceus. We haven't been given a specific time yet, but it's likely to be rolled out soon.

The new story content centres around "mass outbreaks", which we get a peek at in the trailer below. More enraged Pokemon, such as Voltorb, have gathered in groups. It's likely that Daybreak will see us investigate these outbreaks, and put a stop to them.
On top of that, we also have more battles to take part in on the training grounds. It seems that this will involve NPCs visiting town to take you on, including the leaders of the Diamond and Pearl clans.
This update comes a lot sooner than most of us would have been expecting. Pokemon Legends: Arceus only launched last month, so this could suggest that more free updates will be dished out over the game's lifecycle.
It's even more surprising when you consider just how busy the Pokemon franchise has been recently - and how busier it's going to get at the end of the year.
