During the Pokémon GO Sustainability Week, which runs from April 20, 2022 until April 25, 2022, players will have the opportunity to complete timed research tasks and earn exclusive rewards. In addition to these tasks, this limited-time event will also introduce the Pokémon Oranguru for the first time. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to catch a shiny Cherubi in Pokémon GO.
When players spin Pokéstops during Sustainability Week, they may unlock an event-themed research task. Of note, players will not need to complete these tasks during Sustainability Week, as they can complete them any time after they have been unlocked. Players may still want to prioritize these tasks as the rewards will often contribute to other Sustainability Week goals, such as the weekly Collection Challenge. Keeping with the theme of preservation and sustainability, most of the Pokémon encounters are with Grass-type Pokémon.
