It's been a busy summer for the massively popular mobile title, Pokemon GO. In fact, the game has just come off it's Go Fest Finale after a Summer long return to in person events with stops in Seattle, Washington, Berlin, Germany, and Sapporo, Japan. The events introduced Ultra Beasts for the first time, though the Finale event brought all four of them together to allow fans outside of the in-person events to have a chance to catch them through special raids.
This week also saw the start of Season of Light, bringing all kinds of new content to Pokemon GO over the next few months. Players can start a new Special Research quest called A Cosmic Companion, which may eventually lead Pokemon GO fans to the rumored additions of Solgaleo and Lunala. Alongside the new season, Niantic has also just announced a new partnership with Verizon, offering special rewards for customers and an opportunity to catch more Pokemon.
Pokemon GO Kicks Off Season of Light With New Special Research Tasks
Starting today through November 30, eligible Verizon Wireless customers in the United States can claim a special Partner Research ticket by visiting the Rewards Center from the My Verizon app on a mobile device. Once the code has been redeemed, the Partner Research will appear in game from the Today View menu and task Pokemon GO players with completing various objectives and challenges. Keep in mind that this offer is only for players in the United States who are eligible Verizon customers. In addition, only one code can be used per phone line.
Completing research tasks will give Pokemon GO players rewards and resources like XP, Stardust, 100 Mega Energy for Gengar, as well as items like an Incubator, Poffin, a Lucky Egg, and more. However, Pokemon
