Pokémon GO Raid Boss Schedule For September 2024

There are plenty of exciting Raid Bosses to take on in throughout September 2024, including the long-overdue return of a Legendary creature from the Galar region, Zacian, which makes its Shiny debut. There's also a new type of Raid Battle to discover this month, with Dynamax Pokémon appearing in the game for the very first time.

Raid Battles are an important part of theexperience, letting Trainers team up with each other to battle and catch rare Legendary Pokémon. Taking part in Mega Raids is also the only way to get Mega Energy to Mega-Evolve your own Pokémon, and with new Max Battles making their debut in September, there's even more reason to get involved.

During the month of September, Trainers will be able to take on Kyogre, Groudon, and Zacian in 5-Star Raid Battles. While Kyogre and Groudon are fairly common sights in the game at this point, Zacian hasn't been available to encounter since 2022, so this is a great opportunity to catch one if you missed it the first time around.

Kartana with a Grass-type moveset will be your best option to defeat both Kyogre and Groudon, with support from Pokémon like Zarude, Shaymin, Roserade, Tsareena, Chesnaught, Decidueye, and Venusaur. When battling Zacian, focus on strong Poison-type Pokémon like Nihilego, Naganadel, and Overqwil, or high-level Steel-types like Dialga, Metagross, and Excadril.

All three of these 5-Star Raid Bosses can be encountered as rare Shiny variants in, including Zacian, which makes its long-awaited Shiny debut this month. The chances of finding a Shiny Pokémon are typically very slim, but it's worth a try
