Niantic has released its August 2022 content update for Pokémon GO which includes the return of several Legendary Pokémon for Five-Star Raids, and a number of activities to finish the Season of GO. The third and final month of this season in Pokémon GO will give trainers the opportunity to get their hands on Palkia, Zacian, and Zamazenta once more. Additionally, Mega Pokémon Raids against Abomasnow, Slowbro, and Ampharos will be active and returning throughout the month, and an unrevealed Mega Pokémon Raid is set to arrive early in August as well.
Genesect, the Mythical Bug- and Steel-type Pokémon, will be returning to Five-Star Raids throughout August as well. In the past, Douse Drive and Shock Drive Genesect Raids in Pokémon GO allowed trainers to catch the Mythical Pokémon with the Water- and Electric-type versions of Techno Blast, respectively. However, the Genesect that will appear in Five-Star Raids this month will have a different Drive than it had in its past appearances, according to Niantic's content update. This Genesect is also set to appear twice throughout the month during Raid Hours, but for now, it is unclear whether or not these Genesects will have the same Drive or different ones from week to week.

New Spotlight Hours, Community Day features and rewards, Research Breakthrough encounters, and more will be available in Pokémon GO throughout August 2022.
