Though many fans are likely fawning over the new Gen 9 Pokemon starters such as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, there are still those who have their own favorites from the older Pokemon generations. One Pokemon fan has even shown how much they love Gen 7 Disguise Pokemon Mimikyu by producing their own original hand carved wooden pieces.
When Mimikyu was first introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, a lot of gamers were likely baffled by its appearance. According to lore, Mimikyu disguises itself after the popular Electric Pokemon Pikachu in order to appear less intimidating so that it can make friends. Despite its disheveled appearance, Mimikyu has garnered a lot of love and popularity over the years. This can be seen by the number of official merchandise produced by The Pokemon Company and even the continuous fan art inspired by the Ghost/Fairy-type.

On Reddit, user FrigginBoomT shared a photo of two wooden pieces that they hand carved themselves. Carved on top of the pieces are accurate images of Mimikyu, with its arms reaching out to look like it is ready to attack. The artist also painted the top of the boxes in different shades of varnish to highlight the intricate details surrounding the Pokemon. Though FrigginBoomT shared that they carved out the same Mimikyu design, one box is circular and the other is square. Both offer a unique design that any Mimikyu lover would likely enjoy.
