We are halfway through October and that means one thing and one thing only. All of you should have been celebrating Halloween for at least half a month by now. If you're not in a spooky mood just yet, perhaps some artwork in which Pokemon have been given a Halloween makeover will do the trick, or should that be treat?
Vinsear has been reimagining popular Pokemon, giving them spooky makeovers and sharing their work on Reddit. Some of vinsear's creations include more than one Pokemon, so don't be disheartened if your favorite hasn't made the cut yet and you're fearful they won't be in the second half. Gengar, who has been turned into a jack-o-lantern, is stood between his pre-evolved forms Gastly and Haunter. The latter is a zombie and Gastly has thrown a sheet over itself to become a ghost. Somewhat amusing as, well, Gastly is already a ghost.
Some of vinsear's artwork sees Pokemon assuming iconic characters from horror history. An homage to The Headless Horseman, for example, via Cubone riding a black Ponyta. As if having to wear your mum's skull isn't enough of a hardship, in this reimagined Halloween world, Cubone must continue to do that while its skull-wearing head is detached from its body. Pretty dark stuff if you think about it for even a second too long.
Keeping up with vinsear's Pokemon pictures isn't the only way you can celebrate Halloween Pokemon-style. Mega Banette,
