Poco is launching another 5G phone in India just weeks after its Poco X4 Pro 5G – one which is our current favourite in the sub-Rs. 20,000 smartphone space. This one is called the Poco M4 5G and is a successor to the Poco M3 that started it all last year with Poco’s newfound bold design language. Poco in one of its official teasers has revealed how the phone looks although there’s nothing on what’s inside. The phone will be made official on April 29.
The Poco M4 5G is getting the striking Poco yellow variant with a big blacked out stripe holding the dual rear cameras. The strap seems like an enlarged version of the one from the Google Pixel 6. There is another variant is a blue shade. The phone will have flat sides similar to most smartphones these days and the 3.5mm headphone jack is also visible. However, there’s nothing visible from the front.
The Poco M4 5G will be made official via an online event on April 29. The phone will be sold via Flipkart, as suggested by the teasers. Leaks and rumours have previously suggested that the Poco M4 5G could be another redesigned version of a Redmi device from the Chinese market. It is said that the Poco M4 5G could use the old MediaTek Dimensity 7000 chip and will rely on a 5000mAh battery. The phone will also come with 18W fast wired charging solution.
In fact, the phone could be largely based on the Redmi Note 11E from the Chinese market. The camera housings are placed identically and the Note 11E is currently the most affordable 5G phone that Poco could use as its canvas for global markets.
This means the phone could bring in features such as a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It could have the same UFS 2.2 storage and may come with up to 6GB RAM. The
