The brand has long been associated with Microsoft given its roots as a PC series but there's no reason it couldn't flourish on PlayStation. With the benefit of crossplay, it could introduce a whole new audience to the multiplayer scene and help usher in a group of players eager to learn more about the storied real-time strategy series. In fact, the original was ported to the PlayStation 2 back in 2001 but this version of the game was distinctly harder to control, resulting in it being largely forgotten.
The PlayStation community may be excited for but the port would be yet another Xbox console exclusive to make the multiplatform transition.
