While many video game fans are excited about the first couple of months of 2022 due to the launch of numerous highly anticipated video game titles, some fans are really looking forward to the Steam Deck, a portable gaming PC developed by Valve. The Steam Deck comes out next month and allows fans to play the games they own on Steam while, similar to the Nintendo Switch, also providing the option to take the PC on the go.
Although marketed as a portable gaming PC that can run any game listed in the Steam library, a new list of titles was released that indicates not everything is currently supported for the Steam Deck. Among the list was the highly successful Persona 4 Golden that was re-released on Steam in 2020.

The note attached to Persona 4 Golden states that the title is not currently supported on the Steam Deck, but that Valve was currently working on adding support for it. It’s not really known why the title isn’t currently supported or how long it will take before Persona 4 Golden gets support. It’s possible it’s just a small delay but with the Steam Deck coming out just next month, Persona 4 Golden likely won’t be playable on launch.
It’s unfortunate for some fans that were planning on playing Persona 4 Golden with the portable console, but with a whole library of games to choose from, Steam Deck owners have lots to be excited about. This includes God of War which was shown being played on the Steam Deck and coincidentally released on Steam just last week to rave reviews.
After the massive success of Persona 4 Golden though, it’s likely Sega is looking into porting more Persona titles to PC which could ultimately end
