We apparently still have a year of the Nintendo Switch left ahead of us, and while it remains to be seen how Nintendo will fill out that time in terms of new game releases, we know of at least a few major first-party titles that are expected to hit sometime this year. Two among them are a remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, and it seems like we’ll be hearing more about both of them soon.
At least that’s what reliable Nintendo leaker Pyoro seems to be hinting at over on Twitter. March 10, a.k.a. Mario Day, is coming up soon, and in a couple of recent tweets, the leaker suggested that updates on both Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will be shared by Nintendo on the day, before also liking a tweet that pointed to the same.
Naturally, this has led to speculation about whether this means there’s another Nintendo Direct presentation coming up soon- but then again, Nintendo could also just drop new trailers for both games individually, as it has been known to do in the past.
Currently, neither Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door nor Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD have specific release dates – with the latter due out this Summer and the former at an unknown time this year – but hopefully we’ll have more details on that front in the coming days.
