Pac-Man World: Re Pac has come under fire for failing to credit the original developers, as highlighted by game designer Scott Rogers: "Shame on you @BandaiNamcoUS for not crediting the original #pacmanworld team in #PacmanWorldRePac.
"The game is a 100% recreation of the original down to the level designs and pac-dot placement. I'm extremely disappointed that you failed to do something that would literally take minutes to do."

Speaking to Time Extension, Rogers said that it's "just the decent thing to do", adding, "We're not going to get any money from this. We were salaried employees, we were more or less work for hire. What it is is it's a courtesy."
Bandai Namco has since responded, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We hear you and we are looking into it currently." We'll have to wait and see if it addresses the problem in a future patch, adding the original creators into the credits. But it's not the first time a remake has neglected the original developers. We've seen this before with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Shadow of the Colossus just to name a couple.
Pac-Man World Re-Pac, for context, is a remake of the 1999 platformer of the same name, minus Re-Pac. It came out at the end of August, bringing back the classic 3D platformer for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, produced by Pac-Man Museum+'s Yuji Yoshii.
