Luckily, most Overwatch team compositions feature at least one shield, or make use of D.Va’s “Defense Matrix” or Roadhog’s “Chain Hook” to interrupt “Deadeye.” Moreover, the plenitude of cover available on most maps make defending against his ultimate fairly routine, and most tanks will be able to protect their team for as long as they keep track of him.

Uploaded to the Overwatch subreddit, a video posted by user Kiethavemezo shows Cassidy working in tandem with Symmetra approaching Eichenwalde’s third checkpoint. As Cassidy uses his ultimate in front of Baptiste’s “Amplification Matrix,” the defending enemy team backs off behind a corner, leaving Cassidy without any targets. In a stroke of quick thinking, the attacking Symmetra lays down her “Teleport” for the ulting Cassidy to go through, leading him around the corner and onto some flanking high ground. As they do this, the friendly Zarya uses her “Graviton Surge” to trap the enemy Sigma and Genji on the payload. Hoping to protect themselves, the Sigma uses his “Experimental Barrier” but, not expecting the flanking Cassidy, places it in a disadvantageous position, leaving the team open to “Deadeye.” As Cassidy finally fires off his ultimate, he picks off 5 enemies earning him Play of the Game.
