A Canadian soldier, Chase's special forces unit teamed with the titular Overwatch group during the Omnic Crisis, a war that predates the events of the original game and its sequel. During the Omnic Crisis, Sojourn was able to work alongside Soldier 76, who later recruited her to join Overwatch. While working for Overwatch, Sojourn fulfilled a variety of duties and had a leadership role.

Ultimately, Sojourn decided to leave Overwatch, though it's unclear if this happened before the group was disbanded. Sojourn's blue eyes light up right before she puts on the motorcycle helmet, hinting at cybernetic enhancements that will undoubtedly inspire some of her abilities.
